Jaxon the Computer Whiz Kid

The other night Jason was in the office doing some work and Jaxon got onto the chair and said, "I need to check my email!". Jason decided to try to show him how to use the mouse and in a matter of minutes, he FIGURED IT OUT!

For a long time, I have been doing a kid web site with Jaxon called, which he loves. He was able to navigate through it all by himself. He moves the mouse with his right hand and clicks with his left (he holds on with both hands). He kept saying, "I do the com-pu -tah all by my own self!"

Do We Look Alike?

Both Jaxon and Kendall are around 9 months in these pictures. Two cute baby butts!

Cooking Together

Kendall LOVES to sit in front of Jaxon's kitchen and "play" with all of the stuff. So he sat with her and they played together for about 15 minutes. They were both focused on playing and I said, "Look at Mommy" and they turned around perfectly to pose!

Weekend Getaway Part 2

We decided (kind of last minute) to go away for our anniversary. Jaxon and Kendall spent the night with Mema and Grandpa and we headed off to the Marriott in Palm Desert. We went to this same hotel last year, but it was much funner this time around not big and pregnant:)
This hotel has a lake inside it (yes, a lake!) and has boat rides that take you to the restaurants. We lounged by the pool all day and then had a yummy dinner. Going away twice in a row like this a record for us...we probably won't go anywhere again until next year!

Flashback Friday

Today is our 5 year wedding anniversary. Wow, 5 years sure went fast! Our wedding was a whirlwind because we bought our house only 2 weeks before we got married. I remember trying to plan the last minute wedding details along with doing stuff with the house.

I think I was wearing more makeup on my wedding day than any other day in my life. My cousin Kelli was 8 months prego and did my makeup, and it sure was funny having a pregnant lady do your wedding makeup on one of the hottest days of the year...thank God for air conditioning;) She did a really good job because Jason said, "You look beautiful!" when I walked up to the alter. I guess he likes fake eyelashes, spray tan and lots of highlights!! LOL

We went on a fabulous honeymoon to Maui and I wish I could say we are going there again for our 5 year anniversary, but maybe next year!!

Hearing Test

On Monday, Jaxon had another hearing test at Providence Speech and Hearing Center, where he has been going since he was a baby. He had an "aided and unaided" test, meaning they see what he can hear with and without his hearing aides on. His test showed the same results that he has had since age 2 months, that he has mild hearing loss in his left ear and mild to moderate in his right ear. His hearing aides bring him up to "normal hearing". The audiologist wasn't testing his speech but she did mention, "Wow, his speech is off the charts!" So Jaxon being a CHATTERBOX is a good thing!
It just so happens that Providence is right across the street from Main Place Mall (how convenient!) so Jaxon and I got to hang out...just the two of us! We rarely get to do that and since Kendall was with Mema, we had lunch and shopped for a little bit. On the way out, Jaxon spotted the kid rides and so he rode on the Bob the Builder ride and a boat. I ran out of quarters or else we would have been there all day!

9 Months Already!

Kendall is 9 months old today. She is on the verge of crawling (literally, any day now) and she is a wiggle worm! She could care less about drinking a bottle but will eat all the baby food, star puffs and Cheerios you can feed her. She is a very easy baby and will sit with toys and just entertain herself...something Jaxon hardly ever did as a baby. He always wanted to be entertained...which is how he still is!
Yesterday I let Kendall try "Apples with Chicken" baby food. Ummm, I'm thinking she didn't like it!
The crown she is wearing is the same one I wore when I got married! And good thing Kendall is petite, because that skirt is size 0-3 months.

Just a Couple of Cute Kids

I was bored so I decided to dress up the kids in some matching outfits (that my mom brought from Hawaii last summer) and take a few pictures. Kendall has the "pose, smile" thing down, but Jaxon looks away and doesn't wait for the delay on the camera...just another difference between girls and boys I guess!

Mommy and Daddy's Getaway Weekend

Jason and I went to Laughlin this weekend...with no kids! Jaxon and Kendall spent the night at Amma and Papa's (Kendall's first night away from home!). My whole family was there celebrating the upcoming wedding of my little cousin Angie.

Instead of the "bachelorette/bachelor party" thing they decided to just do a family river trip instead. So we hitched up the boat and had a nice time. We were only gone for one night but we still missed our kids soooo much! The last time we went anywhere overnight was a year ago when I was pregnant and we went to Palm Springs for our anniversary.

Floating on the river. BTW, I have been asking Jason to shave his mustache, but no such luck:( He doesn't like me with bangs, so since he has that mustache thing, I got bangs in revenge.

From left: Cousins Stacey, Angie (the bride) Kelli, me, Maggie and Angie's 2 friends. Lots of girls with highlights, spray tans and bikinis! LOL

God Bless America!

We had a very nice 4th of July at my mom's house. Kendall had 2 outfits to wear (thanks to hand me downs from cousins Kylah and Kennah!) She wasn't too happy posing in the first outfit on the couch. She was happier later outside by the pool.

Jaxon loved holding a sparkler with Mema. He kept demanding, "I want more fi-ah works Daddy!" after each sparkler would go out.

My flag cake!

Amma bathed Kendall in the sink so we could put her in pj's to watch fireworks!

Kendall lasted only 5 minutes after this...she fell fast asleep in my arms!

I guess I forgot the flash button on my camera...but you can still see Jaxon and Corah with his sparkler. Hope everyone had a good Fourth of July!
